Recently, Korean researchers presents a method for producing hepatic-lobule-like microtissue spheroids using a bioprinting system and microfluidic emulsification system.  A noteworthy point in this study is the use of a precursor cartridge to create a specific pattern in how cells are located in the spheroid.
