The researchers of OmidAfrinan company developed a 3D scaffold containing beta tricalcium phosphate particles for the treatment of skull bone defects using 3D bioprinting method. After passing the in vitro tests, this scaffold was further evaluated for the repair of bone defects in the rat skull. The results of in vitro characterizations and in vivo implantation after three months show the success of the implants in ossification and the promising potential of this implant for the treatment of skull bone defects.
