A group of researchers from the University College London and the University of Padua (Italy) unveiled a minimally invasive 3D bioprinting technique that can be used for the fabrication of 3D constructs across and within tissues. This study results, published in the journal of Nature Biomedical Engineering, demonstrated the successful 3D bioprinting of healthy new tissue using a newly developed photosensitive bioink in the skin, brain, and skeletal muscle with no adverse effect on the surrounding tissues.
